Columbia Grove's aim is to help fulfill the physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs of the Columbia-Willamette Pagan community. We hope to positively represent an Indo-European Polytheist religion through both public and private rituals, as well as through specific workshops and community projects. Our intent is to serve the greater good of the public and society as a whole through an adherence to meaningful social action. All pagans and pagan-friendly peoples are welcomed to join our rituals and they are Family Friendly as well. During our rituals we welcome the varied Gods and Goddesses of all our guests, their unique ancestors, and abundant spirits of nature.

Spring Equinox Ritual
Is Canceled :(

Dear Members, Friends and Guests of Columbia Grove.

On Wednesday March 11th an emergency meeting was held among our leadership and members discussing our public rite on Sunday afternoon. We have decided to cancel our Spring Equinox rite at this time.

This decision comes from the current reports that there are 19 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus in Oregon. 8 of those in the county in which our rites take place and 1 in a neighboring county that many of our ritual members, friends and guests hail from.

Of those 19 infected, 6 are between the ages of 35-54 and 11 are over 55 years of age. These age ranges reflect a grand portion of those who would be part of our rite this Sunday and we want everyone WELL and virus-free. This data comes from the Oregon Health Authority as of March 11th at 7:00pm.

The World Health Organization has officially declared that the virus infection has reached the official title of Pandemic. (As of the afternoon of March 11th)

The CDC has recommended that in areas of substantial impact of the virus (and we feel 9 cases is substantial) that faith-based community gatherings of any size be cancelled.

This was not an easy decision to make as our community means the world to us, but it is because of such that we feel it’s in alignment with our virtues and our commitment to you all to do our part to help prevent the spread of this virus.

There are current talks about an online option for an ADF Spring Equinox rite in the works and we will keep you informed as things develop

May you all stay healthy and well,
